I coordinate donations at the Acacia Family Centre in Jakarta Selatan. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Jakarta Selatan, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Acacia Family Centre on Monday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Acacia Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Sending strength. I hope things turn around soon

    • Sending good thoughts. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 12 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.

      • this could happen to any of us. All the best.

        • So sorry you're going through this, Umar. Shared it with a few friends. Love from Los Angeles.

          • Thinking of you and your family, Umar. I hope things turn around soon. My husband and I read this together.
