Help Lester replace the gearbox and return to work
Lester drives for a living in Manila, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 4 weeks.

I make my living with my delivery van. 4 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $250 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $135
• Labor charges: $40
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $45
• Towing and inspection: $30
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

keep going, Lester. Small businesses are the heart of Manila. Hope you're open again soon. God bless.
Thinking of you and your family, Lester. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Sending love, Lester. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'll check back for the next update. Blessings
Hope it all works out. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Newport so I could bring a meal.

Wishing you the best. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Cologne this morning.
