I coordinate donations at Liberty Refugee Centre in San Diego. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in San Diego, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Liberty Refugee Centre on Saturday between 11am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Liberty Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

This is what community support looks like. They didn't just offer generic advice; they provided personalized help tailored to my specific situation.

Great help in a difficult time

The support I received was beyond what I expected. Not only did they help with the immediate need, but they also provided guidance for long-term solutions. I'm forever grateful.
