I'm a retired bus driver living in Moscow. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $1,400, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over three weekday mornings. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Keep going. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.

    • Sending good thoughts, Zoya. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.

      • Looking forward to the next update. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Moscow.
