Home care fund for Christian in Manila
Christian can't afford the care He needs after a stroke last March; we're asking for $1,000.
🇵🇭 Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines631 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 92. After a stroke last March Christian can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Christian desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Christian worked all of his life as a shopkeeper, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $790
• Medication and prescriptions: $65
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $60
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $85
With deep gratitude,
Jun
Updates from Jun
Thank you all. We're at 10% now ($99). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward hospital bed and mattress rental.
Wanted to say thank you properly. 8% funded and I met with the care agency and confirmed the amounts.
