Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Xiang in Winston-Salem
Could you spare two Saturdays to help repair a leaking roof in Winston-Salem?

I'm a widowed grandmother living in Winston-Salem. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $4,500, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Keep going. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
Thanks for sharing this, Xiang. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
