Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Nsukka?

I'm a home-care aide living in Nsukka. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $550, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over one long weekend. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • Take care, Wunmi. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.

    • Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in Howrah this morning. Take care
