Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Cristina in Madrid
Cristina, a night-shift nurse, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Madrid.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in Madrid. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $1,300, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thanks for sharing this, Cristina. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Take care
It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Madrid.
So sorry you're going through this, Cristina. Shared it with a few friends.
