Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Arturo in Ciudad de México
Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Ciudad de México?

I'm a home-care aide living in Ciudad de México. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $990, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you for reading my story.

Good luck, Arturo. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Wishing you the best. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
Hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings
You're not alone, Arturo. Looking forward to the next update. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
