Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Adeline in Bristol
The roof at Adeline's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Bristol. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $5,000, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I hope life is good to you.

Stay strong. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend
praying for you. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Wish I lived closer to Saint-Denis so I could bring a meal.
Take care, Adeline. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Nagpur.
