A community garden for Union Park: help our neighbors in Anaheim
A community-led a community garden at Union Park that will serve 584 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $4,250.
It will serve about 584 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $4,250 goes:
• Materials: $3,200
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Safety equipment and signage: $480
• Tools hire and delivery: $280
