Vijay needs a stair-climbing aid - help us make it happen
Vijay needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $350.
Anywhere in the world1,057 views
Vijay lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Dwarka Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $350.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Vijay could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $350 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $290
• Fitting and training sessions: $20
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $15
Every share and every dollar helps.

Thanks for sharing this. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
you're not alone, Mythili. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. All the best.
Wishing you peace. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Thinking of Dwarka
