I served six years in the navy and was discharged in 2023 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place. I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $700. I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing. Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly. Where the $700 goes: • Housing deposit and first month: $210 • Training provider fees: $420 • Transport to appointments: $70 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Great help in a difficult time

This is what community support looks like. They didn't just offer generic advice; they provided personalized help tailored to my specific situation.
