Veteran in need: Ife's next mission is stability
An engineering corps veteran in Ikeja needs help with a vocational welding course and tools after leaving service with a service-related knee injury.
🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria1,110 views
I served twelve years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2024 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $650.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $650 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $80
• Training provider fees: $260
• Housing deposit and first month: $310

Sending strength, Ife. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
