For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 454 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $300 • Permits and inspections: $60 • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $40 Thanks for being kind about this. - Neelam

  1. Small update. $155 so far, I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Update from Pune: the plan for permits and inspections is now scheduled. We're at 28% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
