Two weekends of roof repair for Tammy, a retired bus driver in Bakersfield
Tammy, a retired bus driver, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Bakersfield.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Bakersfield. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $4,200, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

rooting for you, Tammy. Your post was clear and honest. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
Best of luck, Tammy. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We're a small family in Mumbai but we're thinking of you. Take care
sending strength, Tammy. Hope this works out for you.
Stay strong, Tammy. Looking forward to the next update.
Sending strength, Tammy. Hope you get there. Don't give up.
Thanks for sharing this. Shared it with a few friends. After 30 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Wishing you the best. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Thinking of Bakersfield.
hope it all works out, Tammy. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Wishing you peace, Tammy. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. God bless.
