Two weekends of roof repair for Jack, a single mother of three in Fresno
The roof at Jack's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a single mother of three living in Fresno. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $6,250, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thinking of you and your family, Jack. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
sending love, Jack. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Wish I lived closer to Rawalpindi so I could bring a meal.
Best of luck, Jack. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Hope it all works out, Jack. Looking forward to the next update. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
Keep going. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Greetings from Epe.
