Uzma's path to healing - EMDR therapy in Multan
After the death of both parents, Uzma has been on a waiting list for months - private therapy is the only option, and the cost is $350.
🇵🇰 Multan, Punjab, Pakistan1,066 views
After the death of both parents, Uzma has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred her to EMDR therapy, but the public waiting list is 9 months, and private sessions at Multan Wellbeing Centre cost $10 each.
Uzma has been honest with her employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Uzma could afford. The therapist recommends 16 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Uzma, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
Funds cover only therapy sessions, and I'll share progress updates (not private details) if I'm comfortable.
Where the $350 goes:
• 16 therapy sessions: $290
• Psychiatric assessment: $30
• Workbook and resources: $30
Glad we found this place.

Best of luck. Wishing Uzma a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We're a small family in Kampala but we're thinking of you. All the best.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Uzma?
Thank you. If you're in Multan I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
Sending love, Salman. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Please keep us posted. Greetings from Kathmandu
Stay strong, Salman. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care
You're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless
I hope things turn around soon. Love from Ekurhuleni
