Two weekends of roof repair for Dinda, a home-care aide in Jakarta
Could you spare two Saturdays to help repair a leaking roof in Jakarta?

I'm a home-care aide living in Jakarta. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $390, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you so much.

Stay strong, Dinda. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Thinking of you and your family, Dinda. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to Kelowna so I could bring a meal. All the best.
Best of luck, Dinda. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Riverside.
