I'm a home-care aide living in Barranquilla. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $880, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending good thoughts. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
take care, Carlos. Shared this with my family. Blessings.
Thinking of you, Carlos. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
Keep going. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care
Sending good thoughts, Carlos. This could happen to any of us
So sorry you're going through this, Carlos. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
