Bryan, a school janitor, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Shreveport.

I'm a school janitor living in Shreveport. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,450, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Nashik.
I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from Eindhoven
