Two weekends of roof repair for Aubree, a retired bus driver in Los Angeles
The roof at Aubree's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Los Angeles. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,050, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you so much.

Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Los Angeles.
Sending strength. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 16 people at work. God bless.
Thinking of you and your family, Aubree. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from 6th of October City.
Hang in there, Aubree. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings
