Tuition fund for Ximena: a degree in social work at Boston Community College

Ximena is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at Boston Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $6,150. The registrar has said Ximena can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ximena has a top-ten-percent average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ximena would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Ximena isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Boston Community College bursar's office.
