Sohel is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at Rajshahi University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $650.
The registrar has said Sohel can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Sohel has a first-class average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Sohel would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Sohel isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Rajshahi University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $650 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $230
• Final term tuition: $370
• Exam and lab fees: $30
• Textbooks and materials: $20
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
