Shawn is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at London Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,250.
The registrar has said Shawn can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Shawn has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Shawn would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Shawn isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,065
