Sandra is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a nursing degree at Campinas State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,800. The registrar has said Sandra can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Sandra has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Sandra would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Sandra isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $1,800 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $960 • Final term tuition: $720 • Exam and lab fees: $25 • Textbooks and materials: $95 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Mateus
