Samira is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Dammam Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,900. The registrar has said Samira can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Samira has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Samira would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Samira isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Dammam Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
