I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an accounting degree at Brandon Community College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $3,050.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a first-class average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Brandon Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $3,050 goes:
• Final term tuition: $1,800
• Exam and lab fees: $150
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,100

Hope things get better soon, Rashmi. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Birmingham.
Wishing you the best, Rashmi. Hope this works out for you. After 14 years in engineering I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Love from São Paulo.
