Tuition fund for Nour: a law degree at Shubra Community College
A first-generation student, Nour needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a law degree.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a law degree at Shubra Community College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $850.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Shubra Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $850 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $280
• Final term tuition: $520
• Textbooks and materials: $50
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Nour.
It's all in the list in the story. outstanding tuition balance is the big one at $280, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
Take care. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn.
Sending good thoughts. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Bacolod.
