I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a law degree at the Madrid Institute of Technology, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,650.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Madrid Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,350
• Exam and lab fees: $200
• Textbooks and materials: $100
Thanks for reading all this.

hope things get better soon. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I have a 5 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
