A weekly visit for Walid, 78, who lives alone in Shubra
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Walid is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Walid, who's 78. Walid lives alone in Shubra, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Walid loves opera, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I hope life is good to you.

Rooting for you, Sawsan. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Puebla this morning.
