Juan is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at the Los Angeles Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,200.
The registrar has said Juan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Juan has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Juan would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Juan isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $230
• Final term tuition: $930
• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,040
Every share and every dollar helps.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Juan!
Sure. The biggest one is textbooks and materials, $230. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. I'll keep the page updated.
Praying for you, Yan. Hope you get there. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Rohini
