Tuition fund for Joy: a teaching qualification at Wudil Polytechnic
Joy is two terms away from finishing a teaching qualification but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $700.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a teaching qualification at Wudil Polytechnic, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $700.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $700 goes:
• Final term tuition: $220
• Outstanding tuition balance: $450
• Textbooks and materials: $30

Rooting for you, Joy. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
hope things get better soon. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. God bless
Hope things get better soon, Joy. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Recife so I could bring a meal. Blessings
Thinking of you. This could happen to any of us. My husband and I read this together
