Amelia is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a law degree at Yonkers University, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,750.
The registrar has said Amelia can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Amelia has a top-ten-percent average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Amelia would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Amelia isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Yonkers University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,850
• Final term tuition: $2,590
