Tucker is my rescue greyhound of eleven years. On 1 July we rushed to Johannesburg Veterinary Centre with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $850. They have stabilized Tucker, but the treatment can't wait beyond September. Tucker is more than a pet - Tucker got me through my hardest year. I have already put $45 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Johannesburg Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals. Where the $850 goes: • Emergency surgery: $530 • Hospitalization (2 nights): $165 • Medication and follow-up visits: $80 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $75 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
