Travis needs a prosthetic leg - help us make it happen
A prosthetic leg would give Travis independence - we're $4,150 away.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom943 views
Travis lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Aberdeen Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,150.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Travis could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $4,150 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $3,650
• Fitting and training sessions: $185
• Delivery and set-up: $165
• First-year servicing plan: $150
Thanks for reading all this.
