Theo's cataract surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled cataract surgery in January is out of reach without help covering $7,500 of the cost.

Theo was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in October. The surgeon at Berlin General Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and He is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $15,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $7,500 short.
my husband has been in and out of Berlin General Hospital since October. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $15,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Theo struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Theo won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
