The Union health centre yard needs a playground - Gun-woo's neighborhood project
A community-led a playground at the Union health centre yard that will serve 168 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,000.
It will serve about 168 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Materials: $1,400
• Permits and inspections: $195
• Safety equipment and signage: $185
• Tools hire and delivery: $220
