A covered market stall space for the Cedar vacant lot: help our neighbors in Bilbao
A community-led a covered market stall space at the Cedar vacant lot that will serve 316 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $520, and the remaining cost is $2,000.
It will serve about 316 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $80
• Materials: $1,750
• Safety equipment and signage: $170
