The Sycamore health centre yard needs a solar-powered water pump - Tyler's neighborhood project
Volunteers in San Jose are raising $3,850 for a solar-powered water pump at the Sycamore health centre yard.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $730, and the remaining cost is $3,850.
It will serve about 234 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Tools hire and delivery: $515
