For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,100. It will serve about 167 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly.
