The Petrenko family fled Venezuela - help them rebuild in Gujranwala

Help a family of 5 start their new life in Gujranwala: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

🇵🇰 Pakistan357 views
My family left Venezuela 7 months ago after the conflict closed our school and clinic. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Gujranwala. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in September. I was a farmer in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent). Where the $300 goes: • Winter clothing and school supplies: $45 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $15 • Language classes and bus passes: $75 • Rent deposit and first month: $165 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Updates from Mubashir

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($97 in total) I made the first payment toward rent deposit and first month. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Mubashir

  2. Small update. $72 so far, the plan for language classes and bus passes is now scheduled.

  3. We're at 17% thanks to 2 of you. the plan for phone and internet for school and job search is now scheduled. More news soon.
