The old Unity bus depot needs a community garden - Manuel's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Bogotá are raising $400 for a community garden at the old Unity bus depot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Unity bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 248 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $240
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
• Permits and inspections: $110
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
