A prosthetic leg would give Paul independence - we're $100 away.

I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Gwagwalada Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100. My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $100 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $40 • Delivery and set-up: $20 • Fitting and training sessions: $40 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Keep going, Paul. Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Jakarta

    • Hope it all works out, Paul. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to San Jose so I could bring a meal.
