The old Lotus bus depot needs a skate park - Moritz's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Lotus bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,900. It will serve about 281 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,900 goes: • Materials: $1,200 • Permits and inspections: $85 • Safety equipment and signage: $140 • Tools hire and delivery: $475 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
