The old Lotus bus depot needs a skate park - Châu's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $3,650 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Lotus bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $590, and the remaining cost is $3,650.
It will serve about 470 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,650 goes:
• Materials: $3,050
• Permits and inspections: $260
• Safety equipment and signage: $150
• Tools hire and delivery: $190
