The old Freedom bus depot needs a youth football pitch - Yamini's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 489 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $300 goes: • Materials: $160 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $35 Thanks for reading all this. - Yamini
