The old Freedom bus depot needs a youth football pitch - Howard's neighborhood project

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $900. It will serve about 393 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $900 goes: • Permits and inspections: $270 • Tools hire and delivery: $400 • Safety equipment and signage: $230 Thank you for reading my story.
