The old Freedom bus depot needs a youth football pitch - Abubakar's neighborhood project

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $500. It will serve about 295 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $500 goes: • Materials: $300 • Permits and inspections: $40 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $100 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
