The old Cedar bus depot needs a repair café workshop - Heru's neighborhood project
A community-led a repair café workshop at the old Cedar bus depot that will serve 523 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Cedar bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $100.
It will serve about 523 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $100 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Tools hire and delivery: $20
